“13 Battle Tested Techniques For Removing Negative Items From Your Credit Reports…”
Write your dispute letters like this and get all of the deletions you want…FAST!
Dear Frustrated Credit Score Owner,
When you are going to dispute negative information on your credit report with the credit bureaus, STOP listening to friends, family, and well meaning colleagues about how to dispute information on your credit report! And absolutely stop copying the dispute letters that are sold off the Internet from some ineffective boiler-plate “credit repair” kit.
When you dispute with the bureaus, you want to be short, concise, and to the point. Stop quoting all of the legalese and implying veil threats about suing them.
Instead, make sure that each of your dispute letters have these three elements:
What exactly are you disputing
Why are you disputing it
What specific results do you want
You want each of your dispute letters to have all three of the above elements in them. I am going to give you an example of how I would write a letter.
DO NOT COPY THIS LETTER WORD FOR WORD!!
If the credit bureaus start getting letters that look exactly alike, then they will dismiss them as some “frivolous” copy from a credit repair course and kick out the dispute.
Here is an example of a letter to send to the Credit Bureaus:
Your Name
Your Address
Your Social Security Number
Your Date Of Birth
Re: (account and reason for your dispute goes here)
Dear Credit Bureau Name,
I am disputing the Sears account appearing on my credit report, number XXXX, for the reason of (mention one of 13 reasons below). Please delete.
Thank You,
That’s it…no threats, no wannabe legalese, and no boiler plate letter from some cheesy, outdated credit repair book.
Simply choose one of the 13 reasons below as your dispute:
13 Insider Techniques To Dispute Negative Accounts
- Account Type Inaccurate
- Incorrect Balance Being Reported
- Creditor Classification Incorrect
- Date Opened Not Accurate
- Inaccurate Terms
- Obsolete Account
- Account Transferred To Another Lender
- Account Closed By Consumer
- Incorrect Account Designation
- Inaccurate Late Pays
- Inaccurate Remarks
- Original Creditor Not Listed
- Not Liable For the Account
The beauty of this system is twofold – if the credit bureaus verify your first dispute letter as accurate, then you simply go down the list and craft a different dispute letter using the next reason or item. You chip away at the negative account by having a completely different reason for disputing the acccount each time with the bureaus.
Instead of simply saying the account is “not yours” (as most credit courses instruct you to say) and praying that they won’t be able to verify in the 30 day time limit, you now have an arsenal with which to dispute each and every negative account on your credit report.
Let’s Wrap This Up…

Testimonials
Mark, When I heard you speak at our real estate investment club last month, I thought “Great…here is someone else claiming to know how to repair my credit!” I almost left the meeting, but after listening to you for 5 minutes, I instantly knew you were what I have been looking for…someone who has actually been in my shoes and repaired their own credit fast! I instantly bought your book and signed up for your workshop. Well I am here to tell you that after just my first round of credit bureau disputes, my FICO credit scores have already increased 85 points across all three bureaus! All I can say is THANK GOD I stayed and listened to you!
Sincerely,
Ron Kelly, Austin, TX
I think I will try to recommend this post to my friends and family, cuz it’s really helpful.
Question: My husband and I are still in the thick of financial difficulties. We are accruing various baddies on our [previously awesome] credit report monthly, I’m sure. When is the ‘right’ time to start clearing up your credit? Should I wait till I find a full-time job and get things on the straight and narrow for a few months or would now be OK?
Hello Dianne,
Thanks for you question. I always recommend that you start cleaning up your bad credit as soon as possible. Time is your friend and the earlier you start, the faster you will increase your credit scores. Remember that in order to increase your credit scores, you not only have to remove the “baddies” on your credit report,
but you need to condition your credit report with the right types of credit too.
